Telephone or mail, provisional bookings
Bookings remain firm for one week once booked by telephone,
pending receiving the booking form and full payment, (if less than 30 days
before your holiday.) If you are booking more than 30 days in advance then a
30% deposit is all that is required with full payment expected 30 days
before travel. We will send booking confirmation to confirm you holiday and
the date when your final balance is due by. Please be aware we will not
remind you again.
The balance is due
30 days prior to the arrival date, or as soon as possible if it is a late
booking. This is your responsibility. Non-payment will be treated as a
cancellation and your deposit is not refundable.
Arrival and departure The cottages are available from Saturday to Saturday not arriving before 3.00 pm and departing by 10.30 am on departure day
for 4 day breaks arriving Mon 3.00pm departing Thurs 10.30am or arriving Thurs 3.00pm departing Sun 10.30am 75% of week published prices.
Guest numbers
must not exceed the numbers booked and only names booked can stay in our
holiday accommodation.
We do not accept same
sex groups, where the party numbers exceed 3 and are under the age of 25. We
are not licensed to sell alcohol but you may bring your own.
Damage, breakages and cleaning The
cottages are expected to be left in the good
clean condition that they were first hired to you, if they are not we
reserve the right to charge for any damage or cleaning that exceeds the
normal changeover at £15.00 per hour
Cancellations In the
event of a cancellation please let us know immediately. If you have paid a
deposit you will lose this. If you have paid for your holiday in full we
will refund your money minus the 30% deposit if there are more than 30 days
before your holiday start date. We will send any money due to the booking
address. We advise you to get insurance for your holiday you can get this
from a reputable insurance broker.
Pets One well-behaved
pet with a well-behaved owner! is accepted in our holiday cottages. Please
keep your pet under control and on a lead, pets must not be left in the
holiday cottage alone. We expect pet owners to clean up all traces of their
pet. Please bring the pet’s blanket to our holiday cottage. We do not allow
pets on the furniture or in the bedrooms. Any damage done by your pet will
be your responsibility. If your pet damages our property to the degree that
we are not able to re-let the property you will incur these costs and any
lost of business that this may incur for the period that the holiday
property is unable to be let.
Smoking We
have a non-smoking policy in our properties. We do however provide seating
and ashtrays outside the properties for our guest’s convenience.
Payment We
accept cheques with cheque guarantee card, payable to Southdown, cash/postal orders
and payments through paypal.
Our liabilities to you We
will endeavor to provide you with good quality, clean accommodation, but
should a problem arise which is out of our control, i.e.. Fire damage, flood
etc our liability to you is to either offer you alternative accommodation if
possible or give you a full refund of any monies that are in proportion to
the number of nights that you may have already stayed. This is our only
responsibility with no further liability accepted.
KEYS Lost keys will be charged at £10.00 per set for the cottages.
COTTAGES Must
be kept locked. We accept no liability for any loss that may occur and
advise that no valuables are kept in the properties and advise that
holidaymakers take out their own holiday insurance. CAR PARKING is at owners risk and is on private land, we provide this for the guest’s convenience but take no responsibility for loss to car or possessions whilst parked here.
