Southdown holiday lets are two
self catering holiday cottages set within an old rural farm courtyard. We
are in the beautiful
countryside of North Devon and placed at Yarnscombe which lies between
Barnstaple (7miles) Bideford (8 miles) and Great Torrington (3miles)
perfect for exploring this beautiful area, or as a stopover, if you are travelling
through to Cornwall with the Eden project being just one and a
half hours drive. We have many Premier attractions within a 10 mile radius, including North Devon quads and clay pigeon shooting at South Down adventure park with Survival paintball -paintballing at its best just an 8 minute walk from our cottages/ B&B house. Dartington Crystal, Rosemoor Gardens, Torrington 1646 experience, Brannam Pottery, Tarka trail for walking and cycling, Golf, Horse Riding, North Devon Farm Park, Cobbarton Combat Collection, Atlantic Village, to name just a few. We are just a 15 minute drive
away from Barnstaple, with its large Pannier Market and all the facilities
this large town has to offer, Cinema, Theatre, Bowling, Go-Karting,
Shopping, Swimming and the Tarka Tennis Centre. We are a 15-minute drive away
from Westward HO! & Instow, with the fine sandy beaches of Saunton
Sands, Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe all being approximately 35
minutes away. There are many good pubs and restaurants to choose from within a short drive. We are dog friendly in our holiday cottages and accept one well behaved dog. We are just 3 miles from Umberleigh Train Station which is on the Tarka Line that goes from Barnstaple through to Exeter.
